The Union Bank Tower re-development into the Global Paterson Foods Institute was a highly complex issue involving numerous disciplines, including but not limited to architectural, structural, building science and mechanical. The presentation will focus on the hygrothermal analysis undertaken for the building envelope in addition to some of the variables in need of consideration for the application of insulation in the re-development of historical building.

Mr. John Wells is a licensed professional engineer in seven Canadian provinces and a partner in the structural engineering firm of Crosier Kilgour and Partners, located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. John practices in the the firle dof building investigation adn restoration and is currently a Ph. D. candidate at the University of Manitoba.
